So I read the Song of Achilles and I really love that book. It's a very beautiful story so I made this painting.
Went with a more painterly style since I tried using very few layers on this one wich is probably something I'm not gonna repeat 'cause I dont like this work process so much

Thought of trains.

Started listening to the audio book of the song of Achilles while drawing and so this painting therefore was a little inspired by it

Normally you'd expect it to be the other way around with ryuko holding mako since she's more dominant but since mako is more affectionate I thought this might fit

I just wanted to show a little abstraction by having my face and especially top of my head falling apart to represent how my worldview changed recently and how I view language and things in general a lot more relative now

I knew I was gonna love this show when I saw the trailer and I did.
I wanted to kinda give riders perspective in this painting since we didn't get much of what happened to her after they were separated.
Since obviously she was missing horse as well. The idea came from how horse was trying to comfort wammawink in one episode, just that there wammawink was the dream and here it is the other way around with horse not actually being there

This one was inspired by @derekdomnicdsouza . They make these quick art ideas and I thought I might try one of them and I really like how it turned out. I might do more paintings inspired by them because there are a lot of great tips there.
Was also painting the background first before adding the character which worked a lot better for me than when I did it the other way around in my last painting.
I'm also quite happy with the character design even tho it is fairly simple.

This one took me a little longer but anyways. I started off with a gray scale painting because I wanted to try this and I quite like how it ended up even tho I don't think I will be painting like this much more but we'll see.
I wanted to have some mountains in the painting while focusing on a character and I think it worked even though I could have put a little more effort into them.
Also used Krita for this one instead of Medibang

Aunt Amaya and Janai from the dragon Prince

They are both such cool characters and they work really well together. I wanted to this in a more painterly style using no/little lineart and stuff and I think it worked alright. There are parts I really like and some that are a little too messy.
Especially the background turned out cool I think.

It's been a while since I watched Teen Titans but I recently saw a bunch of clips from the show and got interested again.
I ended up adding Terra as well because she is one of my favorite characters even tho she only appeared so little in the show.
I quite like the feeling in this painting with the old car and sunny environment. Will probably do more stuff like that

Watched Harley Quinn (the animated series)and it is great. I love this show and Harleys Outfit is great so I definitely wanted to paint her.
I'm probably also going to do one with her and Ivy.
I wanted to try some perspective stuff with the police car after watching some videos by modern day james again and I also tried a lot of stuff with the lighting because I wasnt sure about it

So I just watched adventure time obsidian and it was really cute. There was some cool backstory we got for the too and yeah I just wanted to draw them basically. Still one of my favorite cartoon couples
Btw is it just me or are there way more lesbian than male gay couples in cartoons
I wasn't quite sure with the blur effect but I made the background quite rough so I think it looks better this way.

I didn't expect to like this show as much as i do. I thought it was just like a comedy thing and it is pretty funny but when the serious moments come they hit.
Anyway i had to try some stuff with that explosion but I think it worked quite alright and I'm really getting into painting quotes recently.
